Green (and Brown) Flowers

Lords and Ladies Arum maculatum (April)

Well there are no trully green flowers, but there are a few white flowers that have a greenish tinge. Really I put green in because I was doing the colours of the spectrum and so I had to include it.

The flower of Lords and Ladies or Wild Arum are tucked away in the bulbous bit at the bottom. The main part, which is green is a hood and this wraps round a purple upright apendage called a Spadix.
