We went to Dirac on the route of the 2012 Rallye and about 300 cars came past. I took photos of about 200 of them. I had problems with the photographic equipment because if I used my normal lens 24-105mm the camera said there was a problem with the electronic connection and I need to clean the contacts. So I had to use my 100-400mm zoom and then sit well back from the action. Also I used up one memory card and as I was changing over to another card my favourite car a 1965 Mark 3 Austin Healy 3000 came through so I missed him. And, which is my own fault, I did not keep my eye on the background so several photos have two spectators seeming to stand on top of the cars, they were on a bank behind the cars but with the foreshortening of the view which you get with a telephoto it looks like they are actually on top of the cars. Oh well you live and learn.
What I have done is put up several slide shows with the cars categorised according to make or nationality or something. Just click on one of the categories below if you are interested. Yo can stop the slide show at any point by clicking on the photo of that particular car. Have fun.
